All information must be easily handled; therefore, one
must have no trouble while manipulating one’s information. Sometimes,
professionals responsible for management and coordination have greater
difficulty dealing with information technology, which may also attest a major difficulty
to understand the use of proper tools to treat and work with information. This
paradox, very often, causes a distortion in the management capacity of an
information system when we realize that the lower ranking professionals in the
chain of command possess greater skills in this area than the coordinating
managers. In those situations where the use of information technologies can be
used to improve the information systems performance, there’s the need to take
into account whether those that influence decision making are able to work accordingly
and proficiently with that kind of technologies so that they keep total control
of the activities that are developing under their responsibility.
Keep your information short and sweet, true and brief…
And if you call someone to help you, do so because you are busy or don’t have
all the information required to handle the situation, not because you don’t
know exactly how to do it yourself.
And, please, don’t fear the dragon…
